About The Position

The project will aim on exploring Kirkendall effect for synthesis of high entropy metal oxide nanoparticles. We will oxide Fe nanoparticles in the presence of a variety of metal cations and monitor the compositional profiles of synthetized nanoparticles. We will conduct the reactions in molten salts since they allow higher temperatures and hence more flexibility in terms of possible compositions of high entropy metal oxide nanoparticles.

Requirements

• Currently employed as a faculty member at an accredited institution.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident at the time of application.
• If accepting an offer, candidates may be required to complete pre-employment drug testing based on appointment length.
• All candidates remain subject to applicable drug testing policies.
