About The Position

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Villanova University has an opening for a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor position. This is a one-year appointment for the 2023-2024 academic year, beginning in August 2023. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering primarily in the area of design. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. Requirements

• A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or closely aligned discipline is required (must be completed at the time of hire)
• The applicant must demonstrate a dedication to teaching excellence

Responsibilities

• teaching undergraduate courses in design
• teaching laboratory classes
• advising senior design project teams
• teach 12 contact hours per semester
