About The Position

The Saint Mary's College Department of Psychological Sciences invites applications for a three-year Visiting Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2026. After the initial three-year contract, there may be an opportunity for conversion to a Tenure-Track Position.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field. Candidates who are A.B.D. will be considered
• Teaching experience preferred
• Interest in mentoring undergraduate student research

Responsibilities

• 3:3 teaching load that includes a combination of Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, Social Psychology, and other classes related to the candidate’s particular area of expertise
• Active engagement in scholarship, including supervision and mentoring of undergraduate student research projects
• Advising students on classes and graduation requirements, and other departmental service as needed
