About The Position

The Department of Philosophy of Wheaton College (Illinois) invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy for the 2026-27 school year. Teaching responsibilities include multiple sections of an introductory course as well as related upper-division elective courses, which will be based on the successful candidate’s interests and experience. A PhD in Philosophy or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates should have a strong commitment to the liberal arts and the ability to integrate their Christian faith into their teaching. The budgeted salary range for the position is $61,000 to $65,000. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate, including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline.
