About The Position

Abilene Christian University is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. All qualified applicants for these positions must be professing Christians and be active, faithful members of a congregation of the Churches of Christ and willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the university. ‌ The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Abilene Christian University invites applications for a visiting assistant professor or college assistant professor to teach freshman level chemistry and other chemistry courses as assigned beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching. A visiting assistant professor will be expected to teach 4 courses per semester and conduct research with undergraduate students during the semester and summer. A college faculty member will teach 4 courses per semester and 2 courses in the summer. A masters degree in chemistry or a related field is required, a Ph.D. is preferred Review of applications will begin Feb. 27, 2026 and will continue until the position is filled.
