The Department of Psychological Science seeks a one-year visiting assistant professor to begin in the Fall of 2026 in the areas of Animal Learning/Cognition and Statistics. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching and either have completed a Ph.D. or be ABD in the Psychology or Neuroscience of Animal Learning/Cognition at the time of appointment. The successful applicant will teach classes that support, or are required for, our Psychological Science major. The teaching expectation is five course units for the year. Teaching responsibilities will likely include an upper-level Learning & Behavior seminar in an area of the candidate’s expertise, intermediate-level Learning and Behavior and Evolutionary Psychology courses, an introductory course in Statistics & Experimental Design and an Introduction to Psychology course.
