The Department of Music of the College of The Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, invites applications and nominations for a renewable nine-month position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Music Education (Instrumental ). The department enjoys endowments and private scholarship funds of approximately $1.5 million, annual university performance scholarships of $750,000, a Visiting Artist Series, and NASM accreditation. Many performances are presented in the state-of-the-art, 1100-seat, Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall, and the new Windgate Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Concert Hall which opened in Fall of 2023. The department serves approximately 220 majors and minors, approximately 50 graduate students and offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees: BA, BM (Composition, Performance, Piano Pedagogy, and Jazz and Studio Music), BME , and the MM (Performance, Music Education, Conducting, Theory). The faculty is composed of 33 full-time and approximately 16 adjunct members, many of whom have national and international reputations.
