About The Position

The Department of Economics at Loyola Marymount University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate classes in economics. We seek a candidate who will teach introductory courses in economics and statistics, as well as possibly teaching upper-division courses in economics, both in our existing curriculum and in the candidate's area of specialization. We seek a dedicated teacher-scholar with demonstrated or the potential of teaching excellence. The position is for one year (2025-2026) and has a six-course teaching load for the academic year (three courses in the fall and three courses in the spring).

Requirements

• PhD in Economics or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated or potential teaching excellence.
