About the School of Mathematics at the Georgia Institute of Technology The School of Mathematics instruct students from across campus, including undergraduate and graduate students. Its faculty carry out research in a wide variety of Mathematical Sciences. They are key players in several cross-disciplinary institutes, centers, and programs at Georgia Tech, including PhD programs in Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization (ACO), Computational Science and Engineering (CSE), Bioinformatics, Quantitative Bioscience (QBioS), and Machine Learning (ML@GT). The School of Mathematics at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for several postdoctoral research positions in the Mathematical Sciences for Fall 2026, though pending administrative approval- an appointment may begin sooner as well. The position consists of an annually renewable three-year research and teaching appointment as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the School and the position includes research funding. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students. Requirements

  • A PhD or its equivalent in the Mathematical Sciences, granted not more than 5 years prior the start of the appointment, is required for this position.
  • An earned doctorate is required by the start of the appointment.
