About The Position
The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in Chinese, beginning fall semester 2025. A PhD is required prior to or shortly after date of hire. Native or near native command of both Chinese and English is required. The area of specialization is open. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach Chinese language courses at all levels, participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum, and may be expected to teach a China-related course in English designed by the applicant. The teaching load is the equivalent of five courses for the year.
