About The Position

The Department of Biology at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor (VAP) for the 2025-2026 academic year. The successful candidate will have a PhD or comparable degree in Biology or a related field and teaching experience, with expertise in the area of ecology and evolutionary biology. Experience as instructor of record is preferred. The VAP will teach Ecology and Field Biology (BIO 221) and Human Form and Function (BIO 171) in the Fall of 2025. In the spring, teaching will likely include Ecology and Field Biology (BIO 221) and an upper level course in an area of the applicant's expertise.

Requirements

  • PhD or comparable degree in Biology or a related field.
  • Teaching experience in biology.
  • Expertise in ecology and evolutionary biology.
  • Experience as instructor of record is preferred.
