About The Position

Responsible to provide safe supervision during child-parent visitations and facilitate the safe exchange of children from one parent to the other. This position is also responsible for the safe transport of children as needed to and from supervised visitation appointments.

  • High School or GED Equivalent
  • South Dakota Central Registry of Child Abuse and Neglect background checks and maintain a record of no court findings, convictions, or substantiated reports of child abuse and/or neglect.

Responsibilities

  • Observes and documents interactions between participating adults and children.
  • Conducts interventions during visitation per the program guidelines to provide for the safety of all program participants.
  • Completes forms and documentation including: Observation/Connection forms, cancellation of visits/connections, contact logs, incident reports, etc.
  • Assures the safety of clients and staff by enforcing Agency policies.
  • Accountable for review of client related documentation and distribution of documentation to applicable referral sources and/or others involved with the case.
  • Assists with agency record keeping.
  • Transports children in a safe and timely manner.
  • Ensures proper use and adherence to child safety restraint devices and laws.
  • Communicates with clients, children, and community professionals in a customer friendly manner.
  • Assists in the general operations of development, billing, and scheduling when needed.
