The Family Visitation Center (FVC) offers a safe, child-friendly site for supervised visitation and exchanges for families experiencing domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking. As a Visit Monitor, you will supervise visits and exchanges between parents with restricted parenting time and their children. This is a full-time position, and many of these visits will occur during the evening and weekend hours. Schedule: (Saturday-Sunday) 3pm-11pm

  • Ensure a safe environment by checking the visit room for safety, correcting any issues, and ensuring that toys available are age appropriate for child(ren) using the room.
  • Supervise visits between children and parents/ family members, including introducing children and family members to the visit room, monitoring the visit for safety and appropriate interactions and guiding parents in behavior management, if needed.
  • Provide a safe and smooth transition from one parent to the other at the Family Visit Center for families who require an intermediary in the exchange.
  • Complete intake paperwork with clients and enter information with accuracy into program database; complete ongoing documentation as required by program.
  • Complete assessments and refer clients to additional services and resources.
  • Provide court testimony as a member of the program team.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Completed the 40 hour domestic violence training, or are able to complete this agency-paid training within 6 months of hire required.
  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience working with children and families affected by domestic violence preferred.
  • Emerging Leaders will have access to leadership development opportunities and one-on-one mentorship.
