The Vision Center Manager at Walmart is responsible for driving sales through effective merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, proper signing, and maintaining optimal in-stock and inventory levels. This role involves budgeting, sales forecasting, and assessing economic trends and community needs. A core aspect of the position is ensuring exceptional Customer/Member service by modeling, enforcing, and guiding Associates on service approaches, and resolving complaints and issues according to Company standards. The manager oversees and participates in community outreach programs, ensuring compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center. This includes analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, conducting operational and quality assurance reviews, and developing action plans for improvement. The manager is also responsible for providing supervision and development opportunities for Associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and fostering a culture of belonging. They ensure the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with customers, selecting products, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repairs, and maintaining optical equipment. The role requires upholding the Company's Open Door Policy, coordinating job-related activities, building stakeholder relationships, and supporting the company's mission, values, and ethical standards. The manager is expected to build high-performing teams, attract and retain talent, act with integrity, prioritize customer service, and drive continuous improvement.
