About The Position

The position involves driving sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and maintaining stock and inventory levels. Responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting sales, assessing economic trends, and community needs. The role also models, enforces, and provides direction to Associates on proper customer service approaches to ensure customer needs and complaints are resolved within company guidelines. Additionally, the position oversees community outreach programs and encourages Associates to engage with the community. Compliance with company and legal policies is essential, which includes analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, and ensuring confidentiality of information. The role also involves supervising and developing Associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and promoting a sense of belonging in the workplace. Quality eyewear provision is ensured by consulting with customers, verifying prescriptions, and maintaining optical equipment. The position requires building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer needs, and promoting continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience OR 2 years' general work experience including 1 year's optical experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws.
