Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
3+ years in heavy-duty truck or equipment maintenance
2+ year in a supervisory or lead technician role
Proficiency with maintenance software (e.g., Dossier) and diagnostic tools (Cummins Insite, Allison DOC, Bendix ACom)
Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA/Cal-OSHA regulations, and preventive maintenance best practices
Excellent communication, organization, and team leadership skills
Microsoft Office proficiency
Class C license required

Nice To Haves

Technical certification or associate degree in diesel technology or related field preferred
Experience with Class 6-8 vehicles preferred
ADP familiarity a plus
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Class B CDL preferred

Responsibilities

Supervise and assign daily work to technicians, ensuring timely completion of repairs and preventive maintenance.
Oversee inspections, emergency repairs, and maintenance of Class 6-8 trucks and other heavy-duty equipment.
Provide hands-on guidance, mentoring, and ongoing skills development for your team.
Ensure work meets DOT, CHP, OSHA, and Cal/OSHA standards, maintaining accurate records and safety protocols.
Communicate repair timelines and operational updates to fleet management and operations teams.
Maintain parts inventory, track supplies, and coordinate vendor orders.
Foster teamwork, uphold company values, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop.
