The Southwest Idaho Area Health Education Center (SW ID AHEC) invites applications for an instructional aide role supporting youth engagement in mental health career pathways. The instructor’s aide will support delivery of a 5-week virtual course introducing 11th and 12th grade high school students to foundational concepts in mental health, including common disorders, contributing factors, treatment approaches, current research, and diverse professional roles within the behavioral health field. The synchronous course runs June 15 – July 22, 2026, from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm, M-F. Training/onboarding and wrap up meetings will be required prior to, and following, the course. Travel to McCall, Idaho is required on June 15 and July 22, 2026. Authorized travel expenses will be reimbursed. This short-term role is a great opportunity for an instructional aide who enjoys supporting students and contributing to a positive, engaging learning environment around mental and behavioral health topics. This is a grant-funded, fixed-term opportunity. All teaching materials, training, and technical support will be provided by SW ID AHEC.
