About the position
Equivity is seeking a seasoned Virtual Paralegal with a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering impeccable service. This part-time role allows for significant independence while providing virtual assistance to clients across the United States. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in a law firm setting and proficiency in multiple areas of law, along with technological proficiency in relevant software.
Responsibilities
- Maintain timely communication with clients between 9 am - 6 pm.
- Operate with significant independence in managing tasks.
- Provide paralegal support across various legal specialties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 3 years of recent experience working as a paralegal in a law firm setting.
- Proficiency in at least two or more areas of law.
- Technological proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe, and preferably cloud-based practice management software like Clio.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in California law.
- Experience with e-Discovery.
- Experience with case management software.
- Experience using law firm bookkeeping software for invoicing and timekeeping.
