About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Ensures flawless delivery and execution of service excellence to both internal and external customers. Ensures all customer contact is Courteous, Informative, Thorough and Friendly. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Will assist Casino Hosts, Credit Executives and Casino Personnel with arranging special services for quality customers. Checks all same and next day arrivals to ensure optimum accuracy of reservations. As a VIP Coordinator, this position is primarily responsible for handling the plane program, VIP salesforce job duties, along with incoming calls for hotel room reservation requests and property/area information inquiries in an efficient, courteous manner, while maximizing hotel occupancy. VIP Coordinator of this position are to stay informed of all room types, rates, plane programs, along with transportation and offers available through Horseshoe Casino & Hotel Bossier City. This position also processes requests from casino VIP guests, including but not limited to, room reservations, transportation, restaurant and special event reservations. All these duties are to be fulfilled while maintaining consistently exceptional guest service standards with internal and external guests. A VIP Coordinator is aptly able to field guest’s complaints and problems in a courteous, efficient, professional and friendly manner. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Must possess the ability to use discretion and responsibility when issuing complimentaries based on customer play. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably hotel front desk and/or night audit.
  • Must have 3+ years of PBX/VIP services experience.
  • Must have casino experience with specific knowledge and skills in the following areas: handling internal and external phone calls, making hotel/transportation/event reservations, professional communications with external/internal customers and vendors, casino computer systems, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs, customer service and telemarketing is essential.
  • Six months to two years previous experience in hotel or casino environment is required.
  • Must be able work along with the team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Excellent oral, verbal and customer service skills expected.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino, including in and around Pit areas.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items when necessary.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a typewriter, computer, 10 key adding machine, photocopier, fax machine and telephone.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guests’ demands in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
