About The Position

SUMMARY: A Room Attendant works alone or as part of a team to clean hotel room. The attendant is responsible for tasks such as wiping down surfaces, cleaning windows, vacuuming, mopping and emptying trash bins.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans guest rooms and guest areas, including but not limited to; making beds; dusting; and vacuuming; cleaning bathroom; replenishing supplies, cleaning windows, mirrors and patios.
  • Cleans guest rooms in allotted time period as determined by management, using the proper procedures and chemicals provided by management.
  • Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays, as needed.
  • Uses the chemicals that have been provided in accordance with directions; familiarizes self with material safety data sheets and uses PPE (personal protective equipment) as necessary.
  • Follows procedures concerning protection against blood borne pathogens.
  • Ensure rooms are completed and signed off on in the appropriate time frame.
  • Maintains a stocked, organized and clean cart with sufficient supplies.
  • Documents, secures lost and found items and turns them into Lost & Found, in accordance with Company policy.
  • Practices safety procedures, including bending, lifting and safe use of equipment. Includes following safe procedures for protection against blood borne pathogens.
  • Communicates with guest in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Keeps supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart at end of shift
  • Completes the required form, as soon as possible, upon discovering any damage to property in hotel rooms or items missing from room inventory-then submit them to Manager.
  • This position requires regular and predictable attendance.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
