About The Position

Hailiang Copper Texas is seeking a skilled Vietnamese–English Interpreter to support communication between Vietnamese-speaking employees and English-speaking management and staff. This role is critical to ensuring clear, accurate, and timely communication across production, safety, training, and HR-related functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Fluency in Vietnamese and English (spoken and written)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-noise production environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

• Prior interpreting or translating experience preferred (manufacturing or industrial environment a plus)
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time verbal interpretation between Vietnamese and English for: Production floor operations, Safety trainings (e.g., OSHA, equipment operation), HR meetings, onboarding, and disciplinary discussions
• Translate written materials including: Policies and procedures, Safety documentation, Training materials and signage
• Support onboarding and orientation of Vietnamese-speaking employees
• Assist supervisors and managers in communicating expectations, instructions, and feedback
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and business information
• Serve as a cultural liaison to support effective communication and integration
• Assist in emergency or incident communication when needed
