Videography Assistant
About The Position
Laundry Luv is seeking a creative, reliable Videography Assistant to help capture and edit engaging video content for a growing, community-focused brand. This role is ideal for someone with an eye for storytelling who wants hands-on production experience and portfolio-worthy work. You’ll be responsible for filming and editing short-form video during community events and regular business hours, creating content used across social media and marketing campaigns. The time commitment averages approximately 5 hours per week , with flexibility based on event schedules and content needs.
Requirements
- Experience or strong interest in videography and basic video editing
- Comfortable filming with a camera or smartphone (DSLR/mirrorless a plus, not required)
- Familiarity with editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)
- Strong eye for composition, storytelling, and natural moments
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
Responsibilities
- Filming Laundry Luv community events and in-store experiences
- Capturing high-quality B-roll (customers, machines, details, atmosphere, staff interactions)
- Editing short-form vertical videos optimized for Instagram Reels and similar platforms
- Creating clean, on-brand cuts from raw footage (light color correction, trimming, pacing)
- Delivering organized raw footage and edited clips
- Occasionally collaborating on shot lists, edits, or creative direction
