About The Position

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Videographer/Editor to join our dynamic in-house Video Team. The ideal candidate is a creative storytelling professional with an expert-level competency in video editing and videography. You will play a key role in editing video content tailored for our brand's social media platforms that align with content strategy. You'll work closely with the Studio Content Producer and Lead Videographer to ensure our brand's personality, voice, tone, purpose, and target audience are well understood and translated into engaging video content.

Requirements

  • Technical Videography Skills: Mastery in using professional video cameras and related equipment, such as lighting fixtures, audio recorders, and microphones. Understanding of various shooting techniques to convey the desired storytelling effect.
  • Video Editing Skills: Expertise in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other industry-standard editing tools. Ability to edit and assemble footage, adjust sound levels, color grade, and add special effects as needed.
  • Photography Skills: Proficiency in photography is highly beneficial, particularly food photography. Ability to capture well-lit, appetizing still images that highlight product features and align with the brand’s visual style is a strong plus.
  • Storyboarding and Conceptualization: Ability to create and present storyboards that depict the script and narrative, and to translate these storyboards into high quality video content. Strong understanding of narrative and visual storytelling principles.
  • Brand Strategy Understanding: Strong grasp of our brand's strategy, voice, and tone, and ability to translate these into video content that resonates with our target consumer.
  • Social Media Knowledge: Profound knowledge of social media platforms and their specific video requirements. Understanding of the consumption patterns, preferred content types, and audience behavior on these platforms.
  • Trend Awareness: Staying abreast of the latest trends in social media and digital video content. Ability to adapt content creation strategies based on these trends to engage with the audience effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail in all aspects of video production, from conceptualization to the final editing process.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the Video Content Director, Marketing Team, and other stakeholders within the organization. Ability to articulate ideas effectively and receive feedback constructively.
  • Creativity: A strong creative mindset and ability to think outside the box. This role requires developing unique and compelling content that stands out in a crowded social media landscape.
  • Graphic Design Skills: Familiarity with graphic design principles and software, such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, can be beneficial when creating thumbnails, lower thirds, and other graphics for videos.
  • Knowledge of Video Formats and Compression: Understanding of different video formats, resolutions, codecs, and how to compress videos for different platforms without losing quality.
  • Understanding of Copyright Laws: Awareness of copyright laws related to music, footage, and other media used in video production.
  • Sound Design: Basic understanding of sound design to enhance the mood and feel of the videos. Ability to use audio editing software for sound correction and mixing.
  • Motion Graphics: Basic knowledge of motion graphics software like Adobe After Effects to add animated elements into the videos.
  • Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing skills and videography experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Videography, Film, Media, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of professional editing experience, ideally within a marketing and/or agency environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the consumer packaged goods industry is desirable but not essential.
  • Passion for cooking a plus

Responsibilities

  • Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a finished product that's suitable for broadcasting on various social media platforms.
  • Assist in developing and storyboarding video concepts that align with our brand strategy and target consumer.
  • Expert time and project management skills to handle multiple assignments and deadlines with attention to quality, detail, and project organization
  • Operate and maintain professional grade video cameras and equipment to capture high quality footage.
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining production standards and efficiency
  • Utilize graphics and special effects as necessary to enhance the production value and visual appeal of videos.
  • Maintain knowledge of social media trends and standards related to video content and adapt strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Marketing teams to understand the project scope and objectives.
  • Provide input on content direction based on knowledge of how video is consumed on social media.
  • Ensure all work complies with brand standards and guidelines.
