About The Position

A resume is required for consideration. Community Bible Church is seeking a Videographer who blends creativity, organization, and faith to produce compelling visual content. This role is responsible for conceptualizing, capturing, and editing high-quality video assets primarily for social media, music releases, in-service storytelling, and seasonal campaigns. The ideal candidate is resourceful, self-motivated, dependable, and collaborative, with a passion for using visual storytelling to engage and reach people.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional video experience (agency, freelance, or in-house)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both photography and video work
  • Experience with social-focussed content creation (Reels, TikTok-style edits)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Capture, edit, and deliver short-form and long-form video content for CBC’s social media platforms, podcasts, website, music releases, and in-service storytelling
  • Own the full creative lifecycle of video projects, including ideation, pre-production planning, filming, editing, and final delivery
  • Partner closely with the Creative Manager to develop, maintain, and execute a cohesive visual identity that aligns with CBC’s brand and creative standards
  • Proactively generate and pitch creative concepts, visual styles, and storytelling approaches that further CBC’s mission and engagement goals
  • Provide video support for live events and services, with Sunday coverage as a consistent and essential part of the weekly schedule
  • Ensure all video deliverables are optimized for their intended platforms, including vertical formatting, hook-driven storytelling, and engagement-focused editing
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and ministries to understand their objectives and guide projects toward creative excellence
  • Utilize and maintain proficiency in professional video production tools and workflows, including Sony or Canon mirrorless/DSLR systems and DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premier
  • Apply strong knowledge of social media trends, platform best practices, and retention-based editing techniques
  • Manage detail-oriented production workflows, including proper file organization, version control, and media archiving best practices
  • Adapt to and leverage emerging technologies, including AI-powered creative tools (e.g., MidJourney, ChatGPT, Runway), to enhance efficiency and innovation
  • Use project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Slack) to communicate clearly, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
