Locations: Lansdowne, VA Team Overview As a Videographer, you are a vital part of the Visual Communications Team at ADF. In this role, you will report to the Director of Visual Communications and are responsible for producing compelling video content that is consistent with the ADF brand to advance the mission of the organization. The Videographer will be engaged in all aspects of production to support marketing, promotions, events, and fundraising teams.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in video production and post-production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Design, Communications or other relevant field.
  • Proficient in Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects.
  • Proficient in color grading videos.
  • Prior cinematic camera and lighting work (experience with Sony Cameras is a plus)
  • Ability to work with and set up various 4K camera platforms and lighting and audio equipment.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Collaborative and willing to help a team in whatever capacity needed.
  • Self-motivated, a sense of urgency, dedication to improving, and an exceptional ability to work well in a variety of environments.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while remaining positive.
  • Work long days when filming on location.
  • Must be willing and able to travel a minimum of 25 days a year.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Animation/Motion Design experience a plus.
  • Photography experience a plus.
  • Livestream video production a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create meaningful, creative, cinematic video content that tells and promotes the stories of ADF.
  • Collaborate with the Visual Communications team on video shoots in the studio and on location with lighting, audio, and cinematography; working closely with internal stakeholders to realize a shared vision for the final product.
  • Take the lead on certain projects when needed.
  • Pitching creative ideas and maintaining a production and post-production schedule to achieve your creative vision.
  • Provide post-production support, including editing, sound design, and animation work.
  • Manage and organize project media to meet deadlines.
  • Follow procedures when required to provide support for various film projects, including scheduling, coordinating, and planning video shoot logistics.
  • Scout shoot locations, assess possible filming obstacles, and provide solutions or alternatives as needed.
  • Provide creative insight and recommendations to stakeholders for all assigned video projects.
  • Implement edits while pushing ADF to new levels of creativity and effectiveness.
  • Manage and maintain video equipment which includes researching and recommending new equipment products and approaches when necessary.
  • You will be asked to perform related duties or special projects as assigned.
