About The Position

Produces, directs and coordinates professional, compelling branded solutions for a broad range of regional multi-media services, including photography, video, audio, animation and support services. Directs new media, including Facebook Live, and Digital Content for Social Media, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. Creates high-level media / digital creative deliverables, regionally and statewide as needed. Direct management of 500,000 + digital assets through a variety of Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems. Work closely with manager of creative & production to support regional and statewide marketing initiatives; provides expertise to Graphic Designers and Web Specialists in producing media solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical photography/video production or minimum of 10 or more years' experience in general and medical photography, video production, animation, film to print process and digital imaging.
  • Proven expertise with Nikon DSLR cameras to capture photo/video and extensive experience with production equipment (dolly, slider, jib, steadicam, etc.)
  • Master knowledge of studio and location lighting for photo/video
  • Proficient in capturing studio and location audio for video/radio
  • Expert knowledge of complex computer systems management for Digital Asset Management
  • Extensive Knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, Microsoft Office all running on Mac and PC platforms (remove flash and dream weaver as they aren’t used anymore. After Effects has become the standard for animation now)
  • Proven Knowledge of current video codecs and formats (Both SD and HD) for file delivery to advertising partners, web, social media, digital signage, presentation, and archiving
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability in current multimedia trends and desire to learn new technology
  • Innate ability to respectfully capture raw emotion and create realistic, compelling stories

Responsibilities

  • Produce senior level high-definition video including: surgical, commercial, educational, training, video news releases, both on location and in studio
  • Create high-level media / digital creative deliverables for an increased client base across the seven SEMI and WMI hospitals including video packages and digital solutions
  • Travels within the region to work directly with members of the Marcom team on individual projects and goals
  • Director and videographer for in-house videos ranging from patient testimonials, physician bio videos, patient education videos, internal and external communications, etc.
  • Lead photographic services including: surgical, clinical, commercial, documentary, portrait, product, aerial, educational, scientific, forensic and other types of photography, both on location and in studio – able to adapt to a variety of sensitive environments including surgery, emergency department and patient floors
  • Manage projects from concept through delivery including generating ideas, scriptwriting, pre-production, production, post-production and archiving; keeping clients and vendors updated along the way and troubleshoot any issues that occur
  • Manage regional post-production media including: non-linear video editing with output to DVD, WMV, MPEG2, MOV, as well as experience with DAM
  • Manage and maintain photography and videography equipment inventory. Coordinate ordering of needed equipment for creative media team.
  • Ability to produce broadcast quality content for Radio, Television and Web
  • Develop creative content within branding standards
  • Leads animation and graphic work for marketing initiatives. Oversee outsourced projects; coordinate projects between external vendors.
  • Produce audio content for use on the radio, web, on-hold music, or integrated into video; coordinates audio needs with external vendors.
  • Deliver in-house digital imaging services. Communicates with outside vendors to provide specialized services and supplies when needed
  • Delivers copy photography, video, and audio used for lectures, presentations and marketing pieces (brochures, posters, flyers)
  • Serve on the social media creative team to generate new ideas for video use
  • Maintain Post Production Suite and Brand Design Suites by ensuring computers and software are up to date and working efficiently, making necessary hardware and software upgrades when needed.
  • Maintains, cleans, and performs minor diagnostic tests and repairs of equipment and orders repairs from inside (or outside) sources when needed
