About The Position

The Eberly College of Science is seeking applicants for a part-time Student Videographer position. This role supports visual content creation for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in collaboration with the Communications Office, with a focus on documenting events, initiatives, and academic community engagement.

Requirements

• Must be a currently enrolled Penn State student in good academic standing
• Demonstrated experience with video recording and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
• Knowledge of basic video production techniques, including lighting, audio, and framing
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional office environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Capture video content for college-sponsored events, programs, meetings, and initiatives
• Edit video content for use on websites, social media platforms, and internal communications
• Collaborate with staff to plan, develop, and execute video projects aligned with college and University messaging
• Ensure video content adheres to Penn State branding and accessibility standards
• Manage, organize, and archive digital media assets
• Provide basic photography support as assigned
• Attend meetings and communicate project status and timelines
