We are currently searching for a Video Production (multimedia) Manager for the Marketing & Communications division. We are seeking a highly skilled and creative leader who will be responsible for leading a small team of video production and multimedia professionals. This position will report to the Corporate Vice President, Global Brand & Marketing. The role has a very flexible hybrid ‘Work for Your Day' work arrangement and is located in Windsor, CT. The Video Production (Multimedia) Manager will shape, articulate and champion the vision for multimedia storytelling and produce visually engaging and compelling digital content. This position works with internal clients, member companies and project partners to create and implement a consistent, impactful multimedia strategy tied to the organization's strategic goals. The Multimedia Manager also works as an active director/producer, directing video shoots, managing complex production schedules, and coordinating resources. This role is also required to project and track department budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in video, content creation, communications or broadcast journalism.
  • Proven experience in multimedia production, especially video creation and editing.
  • Minimum five years of video production experience.
  • A minimum of two years experience managing individuals and/or teams.
  • Minimum of two years demonstrating strong project management and strategy skills including conceptualization, analysis, driving alignment, planning resources, managing milestones and objectives.
  • Strong understanding of the entire video production process from concept to delivery.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to present ideas to executive level and expertise in storytelling.
  • Understanding of digital channels, i.e. social media, web, email.
  • Experience with multi-media technology, live streaming and video hosting platforms.
  • Creative and strategic thinker and innovator.
  • Professional, passionate, curious and creative problem solver.
  • Strong verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Guide visual storytelling efforts in daily and enterprise coverage and coach and train staff on producing multimedia content.
  • Manage, direct, and produce a variety of more complex video projects for internal communications, marketing production, event/conference content and video that supports professional development learning objectives.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines, set standards for how visual media is presented in video, online and on other platforms and channels.
  • Track and evaluate the performance of the multimedia output and make strategic adjustments when necessary.
  • Manage a multimedia team.
  • Schedule and manage resources for video production.
  • Direct on-site video production, mostly from the Windsor studio.
  • Keep up to date with innovative trends and best practices in video production, including AI, motion design, etc.
  • Manage internal video production team and multiple agencies and outside resources.
  • Procure equipment through IT.
  • Plan and direct the development and implementation of complex multimedia projects.
  • Determine resource requirements, prepare and track project schedules, and maintain controls over quality, adherence to brand standards and cost during project performance.
  • Maintain a close relationship with internal customers to ensure multimedia projects receive proper input.
  • Assist in planning for future business, including identifying and analyzing new projects, estimating resource requirements, and proposal efforts.
  • Work with the team to seek out opportunities for process efficiency.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to team, set work objectives and goals for employees, manage performance, define professional development and make hiring decisions.
  • Provide onsite multi-media event capture for selected LIMRA and LOMA conferences, internal and external meetings and events.
