The Better Business Bureau, MN and ND is currently seeking a motivated and creative college student to be our summer Video Production Intern, onsite at our Burnsville, MN office. About the internship As a Video Production Intern, you’ll get to experience real day-to-day work in your field of study, participate in cross-departmental development opportunities, and be networked with some of the largest brands in the region. Position Summary The Video Production Intern will assist with the planning, production, and post-production of multimedia content across marketing and social media platforms. This role offers exposure to video production workflows, digital asset management, creative brainstorming, and hands-on editing using industry-standard tools.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program related to Film Production, Multimedia Arts, or a similar field.
  • Hands-on experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro (preferred).
  • Familiarity with photography techniques and videography equipment, including cameras and lighting gear.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite tools, including Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Strong understanding of video production workflows from filming through post-production.
  • Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and visual storytelling skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, PPT, Zoom, Teams and Outlook) helpful and preferred. BBB will train interns on these programs as needed, along with Microsoft Copilot AI.
  • Gain valuable, hands-on experience in multimedia and video production.

  • Develop technical and creative skills using industry-standard tools.
  • Gain exposure to BBB’s broad network of businesses, community entities and the BBB Board of Directors (Attend & observe a Board of Director’s Meeting).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, filming, and editing multimedia content including videos, photos, and graphics for marketing campaigns and social media channels.
  • Support the production of high-quality video content using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe After Effects.
  • Capture compelling photography and videography footage aligned with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Edit raw footage into polished final videos using smooth transitions, color correction, sound design, and visual effects.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm ideas and develop visual concepts for various projects.
  • Organize and manage digital assets within Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
  • Contribute to post-production by adding titles, graphics, animations, and sound elements to enhance video quality.
