About the position

The Video Monitoring Operator I position at Kastle Systems involves monitoring live security cameras, responding to alarm activations, and providing customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and security of clients by analyzing video feeds, communicating with clients about security events, and maintaining professional decorum while following established procedures. The position requires flexibility in scheduling and offers a supportive work environment with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Actively monitor live cameras and process all video alarms and contacts received through the in-house system.
  • Communicate and work with other departments to resolve client issues.
  • Respond to all building emergency calls as mandated by Kastle policies and procedures.
  • Assist with special projects and duties as assigned by the Operations Center Leadership Team.
  • Monitor all surveillance and access control equipment contained by the facility.
  • Prioritize situations and investigate/dispatch on all safety and security-related incidents.
  • Follow-up all incidents with written reports and recommendations.
  • Answer emergency, non-emergency and administrative phone lines and provide appropriate responses.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all entities who maintain business offices on property.

Requirements

  • Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Superior customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to perform detailed work in a time-sensitive call center environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Good typing skills and ability to navigate several computer applications.
