Position Overview The VMS Engineer will provide technical expertise in IP and analog video systems, deployed surveillance technologies, and networked camera environments. This role supports field users globally and plays a key role in troubleshooting, system optimization, and operational support. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, hands-on network experience, and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical challenges efficiently.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance (or higher)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Video surveillance systems (IP-based and analog)
  • Security camera systems (hardware and software)
  • Network systems administration and deployment
  • Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routers, switches, VPNs, NAT, VLANs, firewall rules)
  • Experience with IP addressing and network troubleshooting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level technical support to federal customers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving IP and analog video systems
  • Configure and support industry-standard networking and camera equipment
  • Diagnose, reproduce, and analyze system issues using structured troubleshooting methodologies
  • Support and provide oversight to Tier 2 engineering efforts
  • Develop and contribute to technical documentation and training materials
  • Participate in meetings, technical briefings, and working sessions
  • Communicate effectively with both leadership and field personnel
