About The Position

WCSH-TV in Portland, Maine is looking for a news video editor who can edit and produce interesting and impactful content for broadcast, stream and social media. You must be a self-starter who is technologically savvy with quick, thoughtful editing skills. This is a full-time video editing position working for television & stream newscasts plus our digital platforms. You must be quick and calm under deadline pressure. You will edit video for assigned newscasts on a couple different shifts through the week.

Requirements

• Knowledge of non-linear editing systems using Edius, Premiere, and Photoshop
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Highly interested in broadcast and digital news content
• Organizational skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• BA/BS degree preferred
• Must be deadline-oriented, maintaining quality while staying on tight schedules

Responsibilities

• Use editing and photography tools to create content for Newscast and Digital platforms
• Work closely with news producers, reporters, and photojournalists
• Must be able to work early morning, nights and weekends
