About The Position

Are you a Video Editor and Motion Graphic Artist wizard? Because that's who we're looking for to join the Smarty marketing team. We need someone with intermediate to advanced skills in post-production who is capable of making great content with what some might consider dull subject matter. You will be a key member of the team responsible for editing and enhancing video content, adding motion graphics that knock people's socks off, and ensuring a polished final product that aligns with Smarty's brand vision.

Requirements

  • Willingness to continually learn and grow.
  • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in video editing and motion design/visual effects software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
  • Experience with color grading, audio editing, and motion graphics.
  • Strong storytelling abilities and a keen eye for pacing, rhythm, and composition.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong collaborative mindset with skills to match in developing video ideas with product marketing, campaign marketing, and social media team members.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in video editing and post-production.
  • Experience working in 3D software like Blender is a MASTODONIC plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is a cherry on top.
  • Familiarity with motion tracking, keying, and compositing techniques.
  • Understanding of cameras and cinematography principles.
  • Experience with storyboarding, scripting, and video shoots.

Responsibilities

  • Transform raw footage into polished and compelling video content for various platforms (social media, marketing campaigns, internal projects, etc.).
  • Apply color correction, audio mixing, and visual effects to enhance video quality.
  • Create and integrate motion graphics and animations.
  • Work collaboratively with the video content team to produce creative customer-facing and internal media.
  • Optimize video content for different formats, aspect ratios, and resolutions.
  • Manage media assets, organize project files, workflow, and work with stakeholder feedback.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and techniques to continually improve your career wizardry.
  • Develop creative ideas for engaging and fun topical videos that appeal to our target audience.
  • Expand and strengthen the Smarty brand identity.
