About The Position

The Video Editor and Graphic Designer concepts, develops and executes best in class creative ideas for digital, video, and print assets to support ACOG’s revenue, mission, and brand goals across ACOG’s primary membership association brand, and ACOG’s patient-facing brand, Every Stage Health. Develop and execute strong conceptual ideas to build out new and innovative ways for ACOG to communicate effectively with its audiences. This position is currently split with 50% of the time video editing, and 50% graphic design. This role is one of three people within an in-house design team, and reports to the Senior Manager of Creative and Marketing. Note: This position is considered Hybrid and will need to commute to ACOG's office located in Washington, D.C.

Requirements

  • Proficient using Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere Pro and /or After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Proficient using Microsoft office including Word and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable in a PC environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital design principles.
  • Able to collect/understand requirements and explain design choices.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Five years’ experience in graphic design or visual communication for digital, print, and video assets required.
  • Experience with filming, editing, and adjusting audio levels and captioning.

  • Familiarity with health or medical sectors or associations a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main video editing and filming touch point, and video consult at ACOG for internal projects and when working with outside vendors.
  • Edit video content combining voice overs, testimonial footage, b-roll, static images, graphics, animations, transitions, lower thirds, music, etc. as needed.
  • Clean up rough audio from content filmed at ACOG’s meetings or filmed by ACOG members.
  • Format video to the necessary specs for various uses (web, advertising, social, etc.)
  • Partner with communications and marketing to plan, film, and edit ACOG leadership and members for short-form videos
  • Create the opening video for ACOG’s largest annual conference. Collaborating with ACOG’s communications team on the script, creating story boards, choosing footage to use, cutting it all together, adding effects, music, etc.
  • Manage ACOG’s Vimeo platform including uploading videos, organizing content, encoding final video to desired size and format, and providing links and embed code for distribution.
  • Work closely with the membership department on ACOG’s testimonial-gathering platform, Gather Voices: watch testimonials and help organize when necessary; edit videos within and outside the platform; assist with filming kiosk set up and shooting testimonials when necessary.
  • Create and produce modern, engaging graphic and digital design that work across various platforms including digital ads, social media, email, websites, and print when needed.
  • Be a brand champion by strictly adhering to ACOG brand standards and identity and designing in accordance with the latest trends and best practices.
  • Generate marketing concepts, suggesting design ideas that best support key campaign objectives in collaboration with the creative team and internal clients.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to conceptualize and deliver high quality projects on time and budget.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
