Requirements

  • Associates degree in videography, electronics, or other related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in video documentation of dynamic testing
  • Experience using real-time and high-speed video systems and associated high-intensity lighting
  • Experience in Photron PV, Phantom, or other high-speed camera control software
  • Experience with video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, Wondershare and Photoshop
  • Ability to apply experience in video documentation to achieve unique project goals through creativity and critical problem-solving
  • Ability to operate common hand tools and basic electronic troubleshooting tools such as a digital voltmeter
  • Excellent verbal communications skills and a demonstrated dedication to quality and accuracy
  • Must be versatile, team-oriented, and willing to work overtime to meet project deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge (preferable) or interest in automotive systems
  • Additional experience such as soldering for basic cabling and electronic maintenance
  • Welding brackets for test setups
  • Working with data acquisition systems
  • Experience with video tracking software and drone piloting is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Setting up camera equipment in a hands-on environment for documentation of various test programs, including but not limited to automotive crash testing, sled testing, vehicle handling tests, and other test programs
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting camera and other photographic lab equipment and editing suite software
  • Scheduling personnel and equipment resources required for high-speed, real-time, and other equipment used for video documentation
  • Building cable assemblies that interface with various pieces of equipment
  • Specifying and evaluating new photographic test equipment required for the lab
  • Supporting consultant engineers by developing and creating custom camera setups required for documenting unique test setups
  • Serving individually or as a team technician in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
