About The Position

The Video Access Control Service Technician is responsible for the installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of commercial security products and systems, including access control and video management systems. This role involves working with low voltage cabling, fiber optics, and associated software, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; BA, BS, or engineering degree preferred.
• Experience in related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of security camera systems.
• Knowledge of access control systems.
• Computer skills (1 year preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install and service access control and video management systems.
• Abide by building code standards and company safety standards.
• Pull wire and fiber optic in various environments.
• Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations to ensure systems are operational according to contract requirements.
• Troubleshoot system installations to ensure proper functionality and compliance with codes and licensing requirements.
• Document and track all pertinent project information for service calls and jobs.
• Exhibit professional appearance and conduct.
