About The Position
North Texas Capernaum is seeking a passionate and culturally competent leader to lead Vida Joven Capernaum in Dallas—Young Life for Spanish-speaking and bilingual families of kids with disabilities. This could potentially be a full time role. This role will focus on supporting the 50+ families we’re already engaged with who primarily speak Spanish, while expanding outreach to new kids and families across DISD. The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish/English) or Spanish speaking, passionate about kids with disabilities, and eager to help build a bridge between cultures and communities in our city.
Requirements
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Leading cabin time and discipleship spaces in Spanish at club/camp
- Helping make clubs and campaigners more bilingual
- Recruiting and developing Spanish-speaking volunteer leaders
- Building partnerships with Spanish-speaking churches and community groups
- Conducting contact work with new students and families in the Capernaum context
