About The Position

The Vice Principal works closely with the Principal and fellow administrators to oversee daily operations, support faculty and staff, and uphold academic and cultural excellence. This leader ensures a safe, engaging, and mission-driven environment that fosters growth for both students and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 ECE semester units (or equivalent), including: 12 units in child development, family/community, and curriculum.
  • 3 units in administration and supervision.
  • At least 4 years of teaching experience in a licensed early childhood or comparable program.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s in Early Childhood and Adolescent Development.
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in early childhood education.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations for early childhood and elementary programs.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing and health/safety regulations.
  • Maintain appropriate teacher-student ratios at all times.
  • Supervise, coach, and support faculty and extended-day staff.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide instructional feedback.
  • Facilitate professional development and regular staff meetings.
  • Oversee student academic performance and growth metrics.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new staff.
  • Assign staff schedules for arrival, lunch, recess, and dismissal.
  • Maintain the school events calendar and support event execution.
  • Collaborate with the Head of School to create a culture of excellence and support.
  • Serve as a key contact for parent and staff communication and engagement.
  • Attend at least one professional development workshop or conference annually.
