About The Position

Bishop Hartley High School, a Catholic, coed, college preparatory school founded in 1957 by the Diocese of Columbus, is seeking a Vice Principal for Academics. The school serves east Columbus and its adjacent suburbs and is accredited by the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association and the State of Ohio. Its mission is to transform lives through the teachings of Jesus Christ within the Catholic tradition. The school implements a rigorous college preparatory curriculum within a vibrant, diverse, and flourishing Catholic school community, supported by a holistic approach to human formation, a thriving House System, and foundational Six Pillars. The most recent graduating class earned over $18.5 million in academic scholarships and completed 27,962 hours of service. In 2025-2026, enrollment exceeded 770 students, with a student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 14:1.

Requirements

  • Must be an active, practicing Catholic
  • Possess a master’s degree
  • Possess an administrator’s license or be eligible to obtain one
  • Current FBI/BCI background check
  • Attendance at the VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children seminar
  • Completed online principal application for the Diocese of Columbus
