About The Position

The Vice President of Data Warehousing at AQR Capital Management is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data warehouse solutions and business intelligence applications. This role involves utilizing various ETL tools and technologies to ensure seamless integration of financial and client data, while also providing actionable insights through data visualizations and dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in data warehousing.
• Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS and Talend.
• Proficiency in AWS Glue, Python, and SQL.
• Knowledge of financial instruments, markets, and client data management.
• Experience with DW/BI tools like MicroStrategy, Tableau, AWS, and MPP Database.
• Ability to gather requirements and convert them into technical design documents.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions and business intelligence applications.
• Utilize SSIS, Talend, and AWS Glue for efficient ETL processes.
• Design and maintain data models and architecture for large volumes of financial data.
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Microstrategy.
• Provide stakeholders with actionable insights from complex financial datasets.
• Rapidly iterate and implement data visualizations using advanced design skills.
• Leverage Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Implement and maintain data security measures and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Serve as a Tableau subject-matter expert to build innovative solutions.
• Create and refine data visualization guidelines and processes.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
