The VP of Public Sector is a strategic P&L position that will report to the CEO and will be responsible for the smooth running and strategic growth of the company’s public sector business. The person is expected to blueprint and execute growth in the technical staffing, SOW, and projects space. The person will run a team of Business Development leaders, Account Managers, PreSales, Proposal, Capture, Technical, and Recruiting Teams to establish a cohesive system that encourages sustained growth in the SLED and Federal space.

Lead by example, build strong client relationships, and be responsible for managing a healthy P&L in the state, federal, and local government agencies
Own revenue and growth targets across the SLED portfolio, with a focus on multi-year, high-value contracts.
Lead, coach, and mentor the business development team to meet pipeline, win-rate, and client acquisition goals.
Establish executive-level relationships with agency CIOs, procurement officers, and department heads.
Expand the organization’s presence across state master contracts, cooperative agreements (e.g., NASPO, TIPS, Sourcewell), and key procurement channels.
Drive market expansion into untapped geographies or verticals (e.g., health, transportation, public safety).
Oversee RFP/RFQ/SOW response strategies and ensure competitive, compliant proposals.
Negotiate terms and pricing with government clients to maximize margin while maintaining value.
Generate revenue strategies and generate new business with assistance from the BD team
Formulate a strategy for trying new creative ways to grow the Book of Business & achieve team targets
Monitor client satisfaction regularly through quality metrics and scorecards
Travel to client sites and attend networking and industry events.
Oversee the entire process and identify efficiency gaps and work with management to develop processes that align with the organization’s goals, with a focus on improving speed, quality, and candidate experience while managing costs and maximizing ROI.
Create new processes and design solutions that boost productivity and efficiency in all departments.
Find creative ways to market our brand value as well as create a strong presence on social media
Keep a close eye on all internal recruitment metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve production
Provide regular, accurate monthly and quarterly metrics and forecasts to the Management to allow future revenue and resource planning to be undertaken
Constantly use technology to automate processes to assist recruiting, sourcers, onboarding, timekeeping, etc.
Find new and creative ways to motivate staff members
Attend relevant industry networking events that offer potential presenting and speaking opportunities to build brand recognition.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

15+ years of proven track record in the public sector tech solutions and staffing industry.
10+ Experience in running operations and P&L management.
Technical and Professional sales, staffing, recruiting, or related experience in the public sector space
Enthusiastic, goal-oriented, organized, dedicated, focused, and driven individual
Self-driven and enthusiastic while demonstrating a professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
Must be organized, detail-oriented, highly responsive, and customer-focused
