About The Position

The Vice President of Wafer Services Business Unit at Amkor Technology is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing wafer bumping, wafer level CSP, and other advanced packaging technologies. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management, and business acumen to drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth. The role involves daily interactions with sales and factory teams to manage customer expectations and includes significant travel to customer locations and Amkor factories.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science with a minimum of 15 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing or packaging.
• Demonstrated technical project management experience, preferably involving off-shore factories.
• Ability to work independently in a heavily matrixed organization and adapt to challenges.
• Solid knowledge of semiconductor packaging design, materials, substrates, and manufacturing methods.
• Deep understanding of advanced packaging trends such as heterogeneous integration and Chiplets.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing business role.
• Proven track record of driving customer revenue increases year over year.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Promote Amkor package technologies to new and existing customers to identify potential applications.
• Drive year-over-year customer revenue growth within the business unit and across Amkor.
• Collaborate with advanced product development teams on the transfer of new packaging technologies to production.
• Support cost analysis, CapEx requirements, manufacturability assessments, and program management through final qualification and initial production ramp.
• Develop product roadmaps, marketing strategies, and business plans for growth in existing and emerging markets.
• Engage in capacity and planning discussions with customers.
• Maintain a collaborative and optimistic attitude in daily operations.
