About The Position

The US Vaccines Franchise consists of a sizeable portfolio of innovative products (5+) that produce substantial public health impact by protecting millions of people every year from serious diseases such as RSV, meningitis, Covid and pneumococcal pneumonia. The Vice President. Vaccines Consumer Team Lead, reporting to the Vaccines Franchise Lead and sitting on the US Vaccines LT, is a critical leadership role within the US Vaccines organization. This colleague will lead a team of Consumer Marketing Specialists responsible for driving consumer strategy and execution across the Franchise to achieve vaccine product business goals. As a part of the Vaccines LT, this colleague will contribute to the strategic vision for the franchise, and will work cross functionally with the Asset/Business leads, as well as other Cross Functional leads across the organization (Chief Marketing Office, Research and Insights, Media, Public Relations, Finance, Review Committee, etc.) The role will require the ability to identify and understand complex drivers of consumer behavior across many broad dimensions, develop meaningful insights and create compelling strategies to influence consumer behavior. The ideal candidate will have high learning agility and demonstrated prior success in leading key marketing and strategic initiatives. The Consumer Team Lead will lead the development and management for multiple consumer initiatives, including but not limited to: • Drive traditional DTC marketing by partnering with the CMO to deliver impactful creative • Align with PCC for branded executions, and expand collaboration on Pfizer branded and unbranded work in line with enterprise strategy. • Digital Branded and Unbranded Assets (Video, Search, email, social, display, websites) • Digital Assets and Patient Education Material for Multicultural marketing • Retail/pharmacy shopper marketing targeting appropriate consumer segments • Budget/resource allocation management, campaign impact/performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of pharmaceutical experience required
  • 10+Experience in consumer marketing strategy; digital as well as more traditional communication channel tactics
  • Documented ability to effectively engage with stakeholders to drive behavior change
  • Proven market development, customer experience and segmentation experience
  • Strong business acumen including demonstrated strategic marketing and analytical thinking skills
  • Strong project management, coordination skills across large groups of cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to ideate on a strategy and then pull that through into successful execution
  • An absolute commitment to adherence to all applicable compliance rules and regulations
  • Breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with the U.S. pharmaceutical marketplace preferred
  • Prior Vaccines experience helpful, but not required
  • Retail marketing experience a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Develop the overall Consumer strategy for Adult, Teen and Pediatric consumer segments to strengthen and broaden appropriate vaccination
  • Provide recommendations on investment levels for promotional material development (AOR) and consumer media (~$140M), in line with business priorities of the franchise.
  • Manage the consumer media plan by making new digital assets and enhancements & investment re-distribution recommendations (if necessary)
  • Partner with media team to ensure right Paid/Owned/Earned assets are being developed by AOR to drive in market success
  • Lead the execution of organizational plans to meet critical business planning deliverables including annual operating plan and annual consumer tactics
  • Member of the U.S. Vaccines Leadership Team; actively contributes to overall strategy for the franchise, including accountability for the culture and environment
  • Leads and develops a team of high-performing, engaged direct reports; proactively coaches for performance and career growth, models simplicity and Pfizer values, creates an environment with clear accountabilities and recognizes and rewards performance
  • Develop and maintain key partnerships in alignment with Pfizer Corporate Affairs colleagues as appropriate
  • Work with Primary Care Channels (CCG) team to ensure that in retail/pharmacy patient-facing pieces pull through consumer campaign/customer insights
  • Partner with Pfizer IIS to ensure that all retail consumer tactics are measurable to drive future channel investment decisions and continuous improvement of consumer assets
  • Partner with Global team as applicable for launch assets & asset positioning revisions, to represent US DTC POV
  • Responsible for the management the Micro-Marketing consumer budget to optimize resource allocation in support of brand objectives
  • Collaborate and align with marketing team counterparts and cross-functional team members to ensure the plans work in synergy to deliver business objectives
