About The Position

The Vice President, Trust and Fiduciary Advisor at D.A. Davidson is responsible for managing client accounts in accordance with governing documents while ensuring the needs of principals and beneficiaries are met. This role involves developing quality client relationships, soliciting new accounts, and supporting Financial Advisors. The position requires a strong understanding of trust administration, estate planning, and the ability to analyze legal instruments and apply fiduciary judgment effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in Trust Administration.
  • Attorney, JD, or CTFA professional designation preferred.
  • Graduate of Cannon or other field-specific program.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and estate planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve account administration questions.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Seasoned sales and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multigenerational trusts and complex gifting situations.
  • Knowledge of litigation concerns and unusual family dynamics.
  • Familiarity with community affairs and professional associations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client accounts in accordance with governing documents.
  • Develop quality client relationships and solicit new accounts.
  • Support Financial Advisors of D.A. Davidson & Co.
  • Administer fiduciary accounts and related agency accounts.
  • Analyze and interpret legal instruments related to trust matters.
  • Identify and resolve client issues during account administration.
  • Review and approve initial account reviews and estate, trust, agency, and ILIT account reviews.
  • Participate in new business development and expand client relationships.
  • Conduct product and referral training for Financial Professionals.
  • Counsel clients on financially based life decisions and manage financial risk.
