About The Position

Selene Finance is seeking a Vice President of Transaction Management, whose focus will be on Pretium’s rapidly growing Real Estate Debt business, primarily lending to Homebuilders and Multifamily developers. This individual will lead and manage a wide variety of duties including due diligence on new loan acquisitions/sales, regular deal activity, and special projects and initiatives. Qualified candidates will be flexible, result-oriented, self-starters, who possess advanced communication, critical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate must have an ability to work in a fast-paced team-centered environment and coordinate multiple competing priorities, while remaining productive, level-headed, and well-balanced.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years transaction or project management experience.
Working knowledge of any of the following areas is a must: commercial lending/banking/underwriting, mortgage lending/servicing operations, homebuilder finance, multifamily or business purpose loans.
A demonstrated willingness to learn and add value to existing processes based on established work experience.
Solves problems with a sense of recognizing opportunities, understanding risks and acting quickly to overcome obstacles and reach a solution.
Must be detail oriented and consistently maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in their work. Work product must be consistently reliable and accurate.
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and effectively communicate (orally and in writing) with others, both internally and externally.
Ability to organize, prioritize and allocate workload for optimum efficiency.
Strong team player with a high level of professionalism.
Multitasker in a constantly changing, fast paced environment.
Willingness to assist in and learn other facets of business to supplement transaction duties.
Strong data manipulation skills through excel (required), SQL databases (a plus)

Responsibilities

Manage the logistics of the due diligence and loan acquisition processes, including direct interface with vendors and other counterparties.
Independently achieve successful transaction execution.
Collaborate closely with internal and external contacts to identify procedural changes and system enhancements where needed; recommend operational improvements and assist in implementation
Manage all aspects of transactions while maintaining a high level of organization, managing vendor and project timelines, performing risk assessments and escalating where needed, exuding confidence in day-to-day tasks such as leading conference calls and managing counterparty communication
Coordinate with internal finance teams to communicate liquidity needs for loan closings
Manage 3rd party loan valuation process related to loan acquisitions
Manage post-closing process to ensure that loans are onboarded to internal database
Work closely with Pretium and Pretium affiliates personnel to review and approve draw requests and capital calls
Assist the Head of Transaction Management with various tasks and ad hoc projects, as needed
