The Vice President, Surgical Product/Brand Marketing - Upstream (Management Path), is primarily responsible for leading strategic direction and management of upstream product and brand initiatives within the surgical division. You will guide product strategies, manage lifecycles, and ensure alignment with business goals while driving innovation and market growth. Specifics include: • Develop and implement upstream product and brand strategies to drive growth and market share in the surgical sector • Oversee the development of new products, from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with market needs and business goals • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape • Manage the product portfolio, ensuring a balanced mix of products that meet market demands and drive profitability • Enhance brand visibility and reputation through strategic brand initiatives and campaigns • Lead and mentor a global product management team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, sales, and operations, to align product strategies with business objectives • Ensure consistency and adaptability to local markets in global upstream product and brand management activities • Manage the budget for upstream product and brand initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize return on investment • Drive innovation in product development and brand strategies, leveraging market insights and emerging trends • Analyze complex data and market trends to make informed strategic decisions • Identify challenges and develop creative solutions to overcome them • Plan strategically with a strong capability in long-term planning and setting clear, achievable goals • Assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution of product and brand plans • Demonstrate leadership with a proven track record of leading and inspiring high-performing teams • Communicate effectively with excellent verbal and written skills, influencing and persuading stakeholders at all levels • Apply deep understanding of the surgical industry and global market dynamics • Focus on customer needs and experience, ensuring product and brand strategies align with customer expectations
