About The Position

The Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Carpenter Technology Corporation is responsible for creating and driving the vision, strategy, product development, and OEM engagement strategy for the company's products across various markets. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities.
  • Expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques, and technologies.
  • Ability to develop long-term strategies and project objectives.
  • Experience in managing resource requirements and business needs for projects.
  • Proven ability to identify and solve complex problems impacting business direction.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to align new concepts to future requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with high performance expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to offer dissenting opinions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and drive the vision and strategy for Carpenter's products across all markets.
  • Lead marketing services including business strategy, product roadmap, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Identify market opportunities and build business cases for product development.
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, marketing communications, sales, and customer support to align strategies.
  • Design and execute market research studies and communicate actionable recommendations.
  • Develop value equations and target value propositions for customer segments.
  • Act as a liaison with customers to enhance communication and relationships with OEMs.
  • Develop long-range plans with assigned market OEMs for product development and value creation.
  • Serve as an internal expert on market OEM and competitor strategies.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
