The Role The Vice President, Strategic Finance serves as a key enterprise leader responsible for shaping, guiding, and executing the organization’s M&A and strategic finance agenda. This leader partners closely with senior leadership, corporate development, and operational executives to drive value creation, influence portfolio strategy, and ensure disciplined financial decision making across complex transactions and growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in strategic finance.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate multiple complex initiatives concurrently, ensuring clear communication of deal status, financial insights, and strategic implications to senior leadership.
  • Strong cross functional leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across Business Units and corporate functions while driving problem solving, disciplined execution, and enterprise alignment.
  • Deep expertise in financial reporting and accounting, including advanced knowledge of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow analysis, net working capital, capital expenditures, corporate financial reporting, purchase accounting, revenue recognition, and core GAAP/IFRS principles.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication capabilities, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts, influence C suite stakeholders, and guide cross functional teams engaged in valuation, diligence, and strategic financial planning.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analytical tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and related platforms used to support strategic decision making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight and leadership of all valuation activities for M&A opportunities, ensuring analytical rigor and alignment with enterprise objectives.
  • Set the strategic framework for due diligence activities, proactively identifying enterprise level financial risks, opportunities, and long term value implications in collaboration with Corporate Finance Functions.
  • Oversee and guide the full M&A lifecycle — from pipeline evaluation through diligence, negotiation, and integration readiness — ensuring consistent decision standards and enterprise alignment.
  • Work closely with Practice Management and Corporate Development, providing strategic direction and enterprise level validation for prospective partners and acquisition.
  • Assess transaction documentation, negotiation structures, and potential financial exposures, providing senior leadership with clear, strategic recommendations.
  • Own the preparation and executive ready delivery of financial schedules, valuation summaries, and strategic analyses for Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors, ensuring clarity, precision, and strategic framing.
  • Lead the development, oversight, and executive level framing of the enterprise capital pipeline, ensuring forecasts align with strategic priorities and are ready for Senior Leadership and corporate review.
  • Partner closely with Business Units to guide capital project proposals through the corporate approval process—providing strategic direction, ensuring rigor, and facilitating alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Build and sustain strong executive relationships across business units, corporate departments, and other key stakeholders to drive alignment on strategic finance initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and strategic alignment across teams engaged in valuation, diligence, and financial planning processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing cohort of M&A finance professionals, setting a strong leadership example and cultivating next generation talent.
