About The Position

The Vice President, Strategic Contracts manages large-scale contracting projects related to complex research, amendment, and/or MSA drafting that are received throughout the organization; and provides industry specific expertise and strategic and tactical direction in the development, negotiation, management and administration of complex supplier contract negotiations and relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; JD strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of substantive transactional contract negotiation experience required.
• Expert ability to handle highly complex negotiations and varied contracts independently.
• Excellent negotiation skills and knowledge of business terms and conditions.
• Proven commitment to drive quality and process improvements.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Consistent ability to problem solve and work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale contracting projects related to complex research, amendment, and/or MSA drafting.
• Provide industry specific expertise and strategic direction in contract negotiations.
• Oversee work product of all members of assigned team.
• Attend and represent contracts leadership at stakeholder meetings.
• Create, oversee, and manage reporting and analytics for assigned project.
• Simplify complicated issues and build consensus among competing interests.
• Manage multiple, large-scale projects at various stages.
• Proactively manage multiple Supplier relationships.
• Drive quality and process improvements.
• Analyze contract issues to identify and eliminate risks and optimize value.
