Your Team & Role As a Vice President, Solution Architect Engineer in Group Insurance Technology, you will lead the transformation of our technology landscape with a strong emphasis on Data, Architecture, and Artificial Intelligence. You will partner with chief product owners, technical leads, release train engineers, and senior business and technology leadership to drive innovation and deliver advanced data-driven solutions that enhance Group Insurance’s core capabilities. Your role will be pivotal in architecting scalable, secure, and intelligent systems that leverage modern cloud platforms, robust data architectures, and AI-powered automation to solve real-world business challenges and position the business for strategic growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering, and AI/ML solution design.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), API development, and automation frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, DevSecOps, and test-driven development.
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable data and AI solutions.
  • Excellent executive presence, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with domain-driven design, data governance, and secure application development.
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges
  • Excellent executive presence with an ability to translate and communicate sophisticated technical solutions in understandable terms to a broad range of audiences
  • Excellent problem solving and collaboration skills
  • Significant experience and/or deep expertise with the following:
  • Data Strategy, Governance and Responsible AI
  • Domain Driven architectures
  • API development and management
  • Cloud engineering and automation
  • DevSecOps
  • Applications development

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end technical leadership for Group Insurance’s Technology Modernization, focusing on data strategy, architecture, and AI adoption to drive business outcomes and operational excellence.
  • Architect and design enterprise data platforms, integrating advanced analytics, machine learning, and automation to enable actionable insights and intelligent decision-making.
  • Lead the development and implementation of modern, cloud-native architectures that support scalable data pipelines, secure data management, and seamless integration of AI capabilities across business journeys and platforms.
  • Collaborate with product owners, enterprise architects, and engineering teams to define and prioritize enablers that build the architectural runway for data and AI innovation, flexibility, and speed.
  • Champion the adoption of emerging technologies in data engineering, AI/ML, and automation, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning and experimentation.
  • Ensure compliance, security, and governance in all data and AI initiatives, mitigating risks associated with legacy systems and driving the transition to modern, resilient architectures.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of innovative principles and theory in data science, AI, and architecture, and communicate complex technical solutions in clear, business-oriented terms to diverse audiences.
